HAUNTING, SOMBER & DELICATE MELODIES
The Northern Key is the project of singer/songwriter Andrew Galluccio, in addition to Christina Platter (keys and violin) and Danny Sullivan (drums). The band was helped in part by Chris Chu of The Morning Benders who recorded and mixed the debut album at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco in 2010. Featured in the 2010 Noise Pop Festival they were referred to as “Offering tracks full of haunting violin and somber vocals all resting on a bed of delicate guitar strumming, The Northern Key craft melodies suitable for the frequent chilly days of San Francisco’s foggy shores.”
In less than a year from the debut release, and joined by fellow songwriter Christina Platter, Andrew Galluccio brings us a new collection of songs. The 10 song LP Wedgewood was produced, engineered, and arranged by Jason Goessl at Parlour Trick Studios in Seattle and titled after the neighborhood in which it was recorded. Wedgewood will be available in digital format and on 12″ 180 gram vinyl through the Tricycle Records catalog in November of 2011.
